USI 2009 Session
Getting out of the producer-consumer struggle to successfully build complex enterprise-wide systems
More than any other software in an IS, setting up multi-consumer and multi-producer services involves many constraints, primarily organisational ones. Breaking down the walls between a company’s departments using an SOA is often seen as a problem rather than an opportunity to make global improvements.
Our solutions often do not take in account these political problems and are overly polarised on technical blocks: EAI, ESB, MDM, urbanism, web service, etc. This session, based on our experiences with large companies, will provide operational solutions to put in place an SOA that is more pragmatic than idealistic, in terms of architecture, organization and technique.
