USI 2009 Session
Automatic unit tests? Too expensive! Too complicated! Recipes to switch to TDD painlessly.
We all have plenty of good reasons not to run tests!
Actually, we have plenty of excuses to not run them...
In this session, we will present how test-driven development (TDD) lets us create a tested application, which is therefore maintainable and flexible.
Using tools and design patterns, we will see how to make almost the entire application testable.
We will explain those concepts by creating a game of Mastermind in .NET.
At the conclusion of this session, you will have a clear view of the daily life of a TDD developer and the solutions available to develop your applications with a test harness.
Note : The examples will be given on the .NET platform but can be easily transposed to another platform.
