Which evolutions for the future of application servers ?
For 10 years, the application servers are hugely used in information systems. But today innovative offers shake the old rules and standards. The cloud and grid architectures break with the well-known 3-tiers. Modular offers are opposed to heavy tools with many features. While building on the existing, new Java frameworks, but also Grails and JRuby on Rails, defies the JEE API.
Based on the Java platform, we will browse the main innovations that are drawing the future of application servers. What can these innovations bring? What is it going to challenge or replace?
