Léo Apotheker is gratuated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, International Relations and Economics section. Before joining ABP Partners, he was in charge of different missions for McCormack & Dodge Europe and Swift. He si also the foundator president and Operations director at ECsoft, one of the biggest european start-ups in risk-capital, between 1992 and 1994.

Between 1994 and 1995 he is deputy director of ABP Partners, society of consultant in strategic management, specialized in the definition of global strategies, as well as in the creation and restucturation of endangered software companies.

Since he arrived in the SAP Group, he was President and foundator of SAP France and SAP Belgium (1995 - 1997), President of SAP for the south-west european region (1997 - 1999) , President of SAP EMEA (1999 - 2002) and President of client operations and solutions on a world scale (2002 - 2008). From April 2008 to May 2009 he becomes co-CEO of SAP AG. In June 2009, he becomes CEO of SAP AG. In February 2010 accepted the demission of Leo Apotheker.
