Privacy and Augmented Reality

Alessandro Acquisti at USI

Alessandro will try and link two streams of privacy research: the behavioral economics of privacy, and the study of privacy and disclosure behavior on social networks. He highlights the limits of control and transparency as means for private protection, and goes on to discuss the technical feasibility and privacy implications of combining publicly available Web 2.0 images with off-the-shelf face-recognition technology.
