Today only one human species has survived – Homo sapiens – but it is the most important factor in the global ecology. How did we reach from there to here? How did we transform ourselves from insignificant apes into the rulers of planet Earth? Our secret of success is that we are the only animal that can talk about things that exist purely in our own imagination, such as gods, nations, money, and human rights.
